A report of 50 IRS officers of the I-T department on revenue mobilisation and economic impetus to fight Covid-19 pandemic is ill-conceived, and an act of indiscipline as well as violation of service conduct rules, Finance Ministry sources said. Covid cases register record single-day spike
In the biggest spike in coronavirus infection on a single day, India on Friday recorded 1,752 fresh cases taking the total cases to 23,452. Covid-19: China raises Wuhan death toll by 50% citing early lapses
Wuhan city government said in a social media posting that it had added 1,290 deaths to the tally in Wuhan, where the global pandemic emerged and which has suffered the vast majority of China's fatalities from Covid-19. That brings the total number of deaths in the city to 3,869. The change also pushes the nationwide death toll up by nearly 39 per cent to 4,632.
