Jaya's hospitalisation: Over Rs 1cr spent on 'food'

During the late Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa’s 75-day hospitalisation at Apollo hospitals in Chennai, more than Rs 1.17 crore was spent on ‘food and beverages’ alone. A mere Rs 24.1 lakh was spent as room rent for Jayalalithaa, whereas more than Rs 1.24 crore was spent on room rent of others, which included VK Sasikala, her kin and officials.
