After Lok Sabha, Quota Bill passes Rajya Sabha test

The Rajya Sabha on Wednesday passed a constitutional amendment bill to provide 10 percent reservation in education and government jobs for ' economically weak' people across castes and religions. The bill was passed with 165 members supporting it and 7 members opposing it.​​ On Tuesday, the Lok Sabha had passed the same bill with virtually all parties supporting it.
