Vijay Mallya a fugitive economic offender: Court

The plea was moved by the Enforcement Directorate that has already attached his assets worth Rs 9,000 crore, roughly the amount he owes a consortium of banks led by the State Bank of India. Vijay Mallya is currently in the UK, battling extradition proceedings.
