Relief for home buyers: GST rate for houses under construction reduced to 5%

In a huge relief to home buyers, the GST council on Sunday decided to reduce the tax rate on under construction flats to 5 per cent. The council also decided to reduce the GST rate for affordable housing from 8 per cent to 1 per cent.
