Time has come to pass on the baton, Naresh Goyal tells Jet employees

Jet was seen as India’s finest airline after the government nationalized the Tata group-founded Air India. While AI was shaping up as one of the world’s best airline under J R D Tata, in 1953 the Centre decided to privatize it. Decades of mismanagement left AI in a terrible condition. So when Jet was founded in 1993, it soon emerged as the finest premium airline the country had seen in a long time.
