Congress, JD(S) offer mantri posts to rebels

In a last-ditch bid to save the coalition government in Karnataka, leaders of both the parties made frantic efforts to reach out to the rebels on Sunday, offering to make most of them ministers and promising “generous funds” to their constituencies. Ten of the disgruntled MLAs, who have checked into a luxury hotel in Mumbai since Saturday evening, rejected the offer outright​.
