Income Tax return filing: How to file ITR-1

Taxpayers must pick the right form while filing their Income Tax return (ITR). If a wrong form is filed then the return will be termed as 'defective' by the Income Tax department and a revised return will have to be filed. Individuals whose total income for the financial year 2018-19 does not exceed Rs 50 lakh are required to file form ITR-1 or 'Sahaj'.
