Karnataka crisis: Will have to examine resignations, says speaker

Karnataka assembly speaker K R Ramesh Kumar has said he would have to examine if the resignations by the ruling coalition MLAs were voluntary and genuine. The speaker made it clear that he was neither responsible for the current political situation nor its outcome. The resignation of 16 MLAs has pushed the coalition government to the brink of collapse.
