Mumbai reportedly received the highest rainfall in a decade with 550 mm average rainfall of the entire month of June exceeding in the previous 48 hours.​​ Thirty-five people died in rain-related incidents in Maharashtra on Tuesday as incessant rains paralysed normal life in Mumbai and other parts of the state.
