Slowdown hits 10L jobs in auto parts companies

Auto component players, backbone of the domestic automobile industry, are facing a prolonged and painful slowdown in demand for cars, commercial vehicles and two-wheelers. A drastically affected component industry has witnessed nearly 10 lakh jobs being shaved off. Majority of the job losses are contractual staff hired for regular production work by companies.
