While addressing the media on Friday, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's words and said that wealth creators must be respected. She also stated that the global GDP (gross domestic product) growth may be revised downwards from current estimate of 3.2 per cent and global demand is going to be weak.
