The situation in Kashmir is slowly returning to normalcy. Locals seem apprehensive at first, but soon spoke about the situation. No major violence has been reported from the Valley. Jammu and Kashmir has been given the status of a Union Territory with legislature. Ladakh will become a separate Union Territory without legislature.Communication has been severely restricted in Kashmir fearing violence. Internet and phone services were shut down before the government decided to abrogate Article 370. Locals seem apprehensive at first, but they spoke about the situation. No major violence has been reported from the Valley. The Narendra Modi led government has now given Jammu and Kashmir the status of a Union Territory with legislature while Ladakh will become a separate Union Territory without legislature.
