'Digital census will improve services, reduce docs'

Census 2021 will be a digital exercise & a shift from the ‘pen-paper’ method used previously by enumerators, home minister Amit Shah said on Monday. Shah said the it will open the possibility of enhancing delivery & reach of welfare schemes & services to the right beneficiaries. Shah said the National Population Register would be updated alongside this exercise.
