Cops performing duty must be protected: Bedi

Puducherry lieutenant governor Kiran Bedi, who handled a standoff between police and lawyers in Delhi when she served as the deputy commissioner of police, said senior police officials must protect policemen and policewomen when they perform their duty fairly, firmly, fearlessly and responsibly.
