Risky Gulf Arab strategy tested by killing of Iranian general Suleimani

The UAE and Saudi Arabia have long wanted the US to push back Tehran's drive to spread influence and power across the region, and Suleimani was central to Iran's ambitions. However, Friday's airstrike that killed Qassim Suleimani, appears to have caught America's Gulf allies off-guard. Now, urging for de-escalation, they are trying to not get caught in crosshairs.
