Kerala: 24 dams opened, rains leave destruction

Incessant torrential rain in several parts of Kerala took a heavy toll of life and property, with 23 reported dead from flash floods and landslides in the last 24 hours. In an unprecedented development, shutters of 24 dams have been opened, the first time in the history of the state.
