HC frees Gautam Navlakha from house arrest

Citing “non-compliance of basic provisions of the Constitution and the CrPC (Code of Criminal Procedure)” by both the police and magistrate, the Delhi high court on Monday freed detained activist Gautam Navlakha from house arrest. The HC’s order came days after the Supreme Court refused to set up a special investigation team to probe arrests related to violence in Koregaon Bhima (Maharashtra).
