IMD predicts 'near normal' monsoon this year

The forecast may send ‘feel good’ signal to farmers with the IMD also predicting possibility of well distributed rainfall across the country during June-September period. It pegged overall countrywide rainfall at 96% of the Long Period Average (LPA) with model error of plus/minus 5%.
