Sensex tanks 550 points, slips under 36,000-mark

Sensex lost 550.51 points to close at 35,975.63, slipping under the 36,000-mark for the first time since July this year. The broader 50-share NSE Nifty lost 150.05 points to finish at 10,858.25. A host of negative cues in both domestic and global markets led to the crash.
