No need to panic, Indian banking system safe: RBI

Following Tuesday's heavy losses in bank stocks, RBI said in a statement that the banking system is safe. "There are rumours in some locations about certain banks..resulting in anxiety among the depositors. RBI would like to assure the general public that Indian banking system is safe & stable and there is no need to panic...," the Reserve Bank said in a tweet.
