SC entertains plea against CAA, but no stay on its operation

The SC on Wednesday entertained 59 public interest litigations (PILs) challenging the constitutional validity of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, and sought the Centre’s response by January 22 while not staying operation of the legislation.
